Attorney Wassim Malas joined Bender, Larson, Chidley, Koppes, Hetfield & Associates in 2025, bringing over a decade of experience from his solo practice, Hilal Law LLC. He maintains a diverse practice focusing on estate planning (including Islamic estate planning), real estate, landlord-tenant, business, nonprofit, and tax law, with growing expertise in family law. Wassim serves a diverse clientele, utilizing his LLM in Taxation to deliver tailored legal solutions to individuals and small businesses.
Wassim is dedicated to community engagement, leveraging his past leadership as the executive director of a 501(c)(4) nonprofit to promote civic involvement and education. He believes that free speech, fair elections, and due process form the bedrock of American jurisprudence. He views himself as carrying forward the vision of the nation's founders – defending our most fundamental values and principles – both in the courtroom and in the public square.
In his free time, he enjoys reading philosophy, connecting with the local landscape, and watching anime (thanks to the influence of his younger brothers).
